-Niagara Falls Police responded to the Rainforest Café in the morning hours of Wednesday, September 30th, 2020, after reports of criminal mischief. According to police, an individual threw a brick at the window of the restaurant causing it to shatter. The value of the broken window is $600 and police are continuing to investigate the incident. 

-Niagara Falls Police responded to the 1000 block of Cleveland Avenue in the afternoon hours of Wednesday, September 30th, 2020, after reports of a burglary. According to police, an unknown subject entered the complainant’s apartment and stole several items including a large television and 16 cans of Enfamil baby formula. Police are continuing to investigate the incident. 

-Niagara Falls Police responded to the 3rd floor of the Niagara Falls Memorial Medical Center parking ramp in the early morning hours of Thursday, October 1st, 2020, after reports of a loose animal. According to police, the dog was injured and covered in fleas. The dog was transported to the SPCA. 

-Niagara Falls Police responded to the Dollar General located on the 1800 block of Pine Avenue in the early morning hours of Thursday, October 1st, 2020, after reports of a shoplifter. According to police, an unknown individual took a bottle of hand lotion and passed all points of entry without paying. It was at that point a store employee attempted to block the exit and demanded that the suspect turn over the lotion. The suspect refused and pushed past the store employee. Police are continuing to investigate the incident. 

-Niagara Falls Police responded to the 600 block of 13th Street in the afternoon hours of Thursday, October 1st, 2020, after reports of criminal mischief. According to the complainant, his driver’s side rear window was shattered overnight. Police are continuing to investigate the incident. 

-Niagara Falls Police responded to Walmart on Military Road in the evening hours of Thursday, October 1st, 2020, after reports of a larceny. According to police, a cell phone was stolen after it was set down. Police are continuing to investigate the incident. 

-Niagara Falls Police responded to the 2700 block of Falls Street in the evening hours of Thursday, October 1st, 2020, after reports of shots fired. According to a witness, she saw a male wearing a black mask and dark colored clothing running from through the alley. Police found a pistol magazine containing live rounds of ammunition. There were no injuries as a result of the incident and police are continuing to investigate. 

-Niagara Falls Police responded to Walmart on Military Road in the evening hours of Friday, October 2nd, 2020, after reports of a shoplifter. According to store employees, a suspect attempted to exit the store with 27 items of merchandise totaling $138.04 without paying. The suspect was given an appearance ticket. 

-Niagara Falls Police responded to the 7000 block of Buffalo Avenue to the Riverside Inn in the early morning hours of Saturday, October 3rd, 2020, after reports of a stolen vehicle. According to police, the complainant stated that his mother’s vehicle was missing. Police utilized the tracker in the vehicle and found it unoccupied on the 7200 block of Perry Avenue. Police have no information or a suspect.  

-In the early morning hours of Sunday, October 4th, 2020, Niagara Falls Police attempted to pull over a vehicle for a traffic stop after the car went through a red light. According to police, the vehicle did slow down as if it was going to pull over, but then began to unlawfully flee from police. A few minutes later, the vehicle stopped in the middle of Hyde Park Blvd. and attempted to flee on foot. Police did catch up to the suspect and placed him into custody. 

-Niagara Falls Police responded to the 1000 block of Portage Road at Rainbow Apparel in the evening hours of Sunday, October 4th, 2020, after reports of an armed robbery. According to an employee, a black male wearing a gray hoodie and black jeans with a mask covering part of his face was standing over her. The employee greeted the customer at which time she saw a silver revolver in his hand which he pointed at the employee. The male suspect told the employee to open the registers. The suspect removed all cash from both registers. It was at that time that the suspect asked where the safe was. The employee opened the safe for the suspect, still at gunpoint, and took all money before fleeing. According to the employee, the suspect made off with over $5,000 in cash. Police are continuing to investigate the incident. 

-Niagara Falls Police responded to St. Mary’s Hospital in the morning hours of October 5th, 2020, for an investigation. According to reports, police were suspicious of an injury sustained by a female who had gone to the hospital for treatment. The female was non-responsive to questions. 

-Niagara Falls Police responded to the area of 74th Street and Buffalo Avenue in the morning hours of October 5th, 2020, after reports of a suspicious condition. According to reports, dispatch advised that a black male in a blue hooded sweatshirt was observed by a passerby looking into an unoccupied USPS mail truck. However, the mail carrier stated that the individual was in fact a white male wearing a dark sweatshirt. The mail carrier stated that the individual was watching her and that when she came back to the mail truck, the window of the truck was smashed and a large rock was laying on the ground near the truck. The victim stated that her purse was missing. It is unknown whether any mail was taken. Police are continuing to investigate the incident. 

-Niagara Falls Police responded to the 3000 block of Church Avenue in the morning hours of October 5th, 2020, after reports of a theft. According to police, the complainant stated that at some point over the past week their blue garbage bin went missing. Police are continuing to investigate the incident. 

-Niagara Falls Police responded to the 1000 block of Grove Avenue in the afternoon hours of October 5th, 2020, after reports of a suspicious fire. According to police, members of fire investigation believed that the fire was a result of arson. Police are continuing to investigate. 

-Niagara Falls Police responded to the 9500 block of Colvin Blvd. in the evening hours of October 6th, 2020, after reports of a hit and run. 

-Niagara Falls Police responded to the 600 block of Ashland Avenue in the morning hours of October 7th, 2020, after reports of criminal mischief. According to the complainant, a rear passenger window was removed from a vehicle and a Samsung Galaxy s8 cell phone taken from inside. The value of the broken window is estimated to be $200 and the phone at $400. Police are continuing to investigate the incident. 

-Niagara Falls Police responded to the 2700 block of Livingston Avenue in the evening hours of October 7th, 2020, after reports of a burglary. According to the complainant, an electric snow blower was stolen. Police are continuing to investigate. 

-Niagara Falls Police responded to the 7200 block of Stephenson Avenue in the morning hours of October 8th, 2020, after reports of an assault. According to the complainant, he was assaulted the day prior in the parking lot of Home Depot. The suspect was an unknown black male who apparently thought the victim was someone else. The victim was punched in the face multiple times and, upon falling to the ground, was physically assaulted more. Police are continuing to investigate the incident. 

-The Niagara Falls Police Department arrested 20-year-old, Michael Anthony Mease, of Niagara Falls, for the shooting of Shakiya Boyce, on October 9th, 2020. Boyce was shot and killed near 20th St. and Center Ave. on September 29th. Mease is being charged with Murder Second Degree (A-felony) and Criminal Possession of a Weapon 2nd Degree (C-felony). 

-Niagara Falls Police responded to the 1500 block of Linwood Avenue in the evening hours of October 19th, 2020, after reports of shots fired. According to police, they responded to Niagara Falls Memorial Medical Center for a gunshot victim who had arrived with multiple gunshot wounds by private vehicle. The victim reported that he was shot in a garage located in the 1500 block of Linwood Avenue. It was at this time officers went to the Linwood Avenue address and located the crime scene.
