Niagara Falls 7-11 Robbery Arrest Made By US Marshals
Crime doesn’t pay. At least not for too long.
On January 6th at 3:00 a.m. the 7/11, located at 2310 Hyde Park Blvd, was robbed.
Two suspects, one male and one female entered the store with the female staying near the door to watch for customers. The male walked to the counter, pulled out a handgun and reportedly told the cashier, “Give me all of the money. We are cool people. I will not shoot you, but hurry up and give me all the money.”
After being given approximately $60, the male demanded all of the Newport cigarettes (26 packs in total). Both parties left the store.
Today – 12 days after the robbery – the male suspect, Matthew M. Humprhey was apprehended by the US Marshal Task Force and charged by Niagara Falls Police Detectives Beilec and Paul with Robbery in the First Degree, a B-Felony.
In unrelated matters Humphrey was also charged with Probation Violation and Endangering the Welfare of a Child and Menacing in the second degree in a domestic violence incident.
Both of those charges are A-Misdemeanors.
Detectives are working on the identity of the female.
