I want to tell you guys a little story about one of our friends. About a year ago, [The Little Bakery] was burglarized and we caught the suspect very shortly after it happened.

We were very disappointed when he was immediately released from jail and called everyone including the District Attorneys office with our outrage. We spoke with the District Attorney, Caroline Wojtaszek, who felt very bad for what happened to us and she promised that she would seek justice in our case.

Over the coming weeks we were contacted by Caroline asking us several times if there was anything she could do to help us get the business back in order. We both thought it was very nice of her.

Then, about a month or so after the burglary, I came into work and one of my employees said a lady was here by the name of Caroline. She bought pizza and bread and was asking how everything was going and if we needed anything.

It was heartwarming that someone who didn’t even know us was so worried about our business that I called her and thanked her for reaching out several times. I told her that there was nothing she could do to help us at that time, but told her that the next time we did one of our giveaways, if she could find time to come down and help, it would be appreciated.

About a month later we did a big giveaway and, sure enough, Caroline showed up and helped us prepare A LOT of food. I was lost for words that a woman with her authority was so down to earth and pleasant to be around. It was the beginning go a lasting friendship.

So when I read about people attacking her character, it was impossible not to be offended. This has nothing to do with being a Democrat or being a Republican.

When this women reached out to us, she was not running for election, nor was she looking publicity. She was truly saddened by the pain somebody caused our small business and family.

As many of you know, on June 8th, when most of us were sleeping, our business was burglarized again. It was the same day we we were supposed to have a massive food giveaway; pizza, french fries, cookies and drinks for the entire community.

But when we went in that morning and realized our place had been burglarized again, our first concern was whether we would be able to stay open let alone have the giveaway. Thats when I made the live video of me sobbing because someone did this to our business.

15 minutes after the video was posted I got a phone call from Caroline and you could hear the sadness in her voice as she was trying to calm me down. She told me, “hang in there. I’ll be right there.”

She arrived at The Little Bakery shortly after the phone call and she immediately went to work on helping us clean the mess he had left behind. Thats when I announced to everybody that I was still going to do the give away and once again Caroline was right there helping out at the giveaway.

So when people try to criticize her, I find it highly offensive. Of course, in her line of work she was going to have certain people not like her, but at the end of the day she had a job to do! A job that she does exceptionally well. I could not think of a more qualified person than Caroline Wojtaszek in her race for County Court Judge. She is kind, but strong enough to be Niagara County Court Judge. She is a people person and is more than fair.

She has our vote because she has always been there for us; even before she knew us personally. Thank you Caroline Wojtaszek for being the kind-hearted person that you are.
