Gov. Hochul Feted by Delaware North at Bills vs. Jets Game

The question some are asking is, who paid the bill for Governor Kathy Hochul’s Monday Night Football party at MetLife Stadium, where she and her entourage took in the Bills vs. Jets showdown?
The other night on “The Capitol Pressroom,” as aired on local NPR-affiliate WBFO-FM, lobbying expert David Grandeau talked about the lack of transparency surrounding ethics questions concerning the Governor’s office.
“Gov. Hochul was there, at the game,” said Grandeau, “… in a luxury box. Now, I don’t know who paid for that luxury box. I don’t know who provided it to them. I don’t know if they had business before the state of New York. I don’t know if there’s a conflict. I don’t know if it’s an illegal gift under the lobbying act.”
We can fill in some of the blanks for Mr. Grandeau.
MetLife Stadium concessions are administered by Delaware North Companies, the firm that formerly employed the governor’s husband, William J. Hochul, Jr. as its Senior V-P and General Counsel.
The incestuous relationship between the governor and Delaware North has been well documented by this media outlet as well as many others.
So it’s a fair assumption that Gov. Hochul enjoyed an expensive evening at the Monday Night Football extravaganza, surrounded by the finest amenities, courtesy of Delaware North, which holds numerous state contracts.
The never-ending honeymoon continues.
