GoFundMe Started to Assist Family Displaced by Vehicle Crashing Into Home in Niagara Falls

A mother, father, and three small children have found themselves without a place to live after a vehicle smashed into their rental home on the 7000 block of Stephenson Avenue on January 24th, 2021.
Within two days the house was condemned by the City of Niagara Falls and the family left without a place to call home.
The mother, Macayla Voorhees, described the terrifying moment to the Niagara Reporter.
“All of a sudden I felt the entire house shake,” said Macayla. “I had no idea what was happening and ran to my youngest son, age three, who was hysterically crying.”
Macayla soon thereafter discovered a vehicle inside of her home.
“July 1st would have been three years living in that house,” Macayla told the Reporter. “My two daughters, both age four, keep asking when we are going home and it breaks my heart to tell them that we won’t be.”
The family is currently split up staying with various family and friends hoping and praying for a miracle to help them get onto their feet again.
“Fortunately no one was injured,” said Macayla, “but we were not prepared financially to get up and move in a flash. I don’t know anyone that could.”
