Niagara Falls NY was selected by Expedia as one of the top 16 best honeymoon destinations in America!
Expedia.com rounded up what they claimed are their Top 16 based on a ranking system of 4 criteria that make these cities “very appealing to travelers”and ideal for newlyweds.
. The four criteria are:
- Adventures available
- Picture-perfect scenery
- Swoon-worthy vibes
- Affordability.
The results were announced on October 8, 2018 and published online at

According to Expedia, Niagara Falls NY scored well in all of the criteria, yet we were left scratching our heads after reading the story.
It’s true, Niagara Falls, NY scored 5 out of 5 for “picture-perfect scenery,” a 4 out of 5 for “adventure action,” and a 3 out of 5 for “swoon-worthy vibes”.
And it is true that Expedia is a leading travel company and the Expedia Viewfinder blog features lot of stories about places to travel or, as they write about themselves – “travel inspiration on destinations in the U.S. and across the globe… written by Expedia staff writers who are expert travelers themselves.”
How expert they are, you can judge for yourself. Here is their write up as to why Niagara Falls, NY, is one of the top 16 honeymoon destinations:

The fact is that three of the four attractions listed – Voyage to the Falls Boat Tour, Skylon Tower, and Christienne Fallsview Spa are all on the Canadian side.
Maybe their expert travel writer didn’t know that.
