Restaurant Review: Kelly’s Corner
Lent has arrived!! My favorite time for reviews.
I love a good fish fry, which is where Kelly’s Corner comes in. There was no way that I was not going to stop in for a fish fry on the first day of Lent.
As usual, I was not disappointed with Kelly’s. The fish is fresh haddock and the fish choices are panko, beer battered, lemon pepper baked, Cajun baked, a Greek haddock with feta, black olives and tomatoes, and of course a fish sandwich. All choices come with homemade coleslaw and a choice of a side.
I opted for the beer battered haddock with French fries. My meal came out piping hot with a hearty golden piece of fish. The outside was crisp and seasoned to perfection and the inside was melt in your mouth tender and also seasoned perfectly. The homemade coleslaw was out of this world it was crisp and refreshing with a hint of sweetness. The French fries were awesome!
My meal was delicious to say the least. Kelly’s Corner, I can say is one of my favorite places to eat, drink and have fun. It has become one of my favorites because their variety of food fits all your wants and needs. There is really something for everyone. Something else that I love about Kelly’s is the atmosphere and friendliness of their workers. As soon as you walk in the door you feel at home and are treated like family; because at Kelly’s you are.
The ‘girls’ who work there remember your name and your favorites. They are always friendly, fast, and fun. T he owners are wonderful, kind, generous and always donating to good causes and giving back to the community in any way they can, which makes this place that much more special to me.
If you have been to Kelly’s before, I’m sure you will keep coming back. For those of you that haven’t, I highly recommend you give it a try so you can enjoy all the great food they have to offer!!
